SMALL BOOK SERIES
Since 1972 I have written many encyclopedias with extensive collections of stitch variations. It is now time to do something with a new format - small select collections of stitch variations. I hope to publish about four titlles yearly. Each "small book" will be approximately 48 pages in length. I will offer the stitcher interesting variations, many not the common ones found in the majority of books published during the past many decades.

Publications in the Small Book Series will include: Background Stitches (2 volumes), Layered Fillings (3 volumes), Bands and Borders (3 volumes), Composite Patterns (2 volumes), Canvas Bead Embellishment AND maybe books on such subjects as Florentine Patterns, Shading with Stitches and Darning Patterns, all for the needlepointer.

SAMPLE STITCHERS
I have all the stitch samples for Small Book #1 ready to become images and then all will be off to the printer. In the next couple weeks I will begin sending out diagrams and supplies to Jane's Angels for the samples for Small Book #2 - Layered Fillings. My list of volunteer stitchers keeps growing so you may not receive a request until I get to several books down the line. (Only need about 22 stitchers maximum per book.)

If you have asked to be on my current list but do not consider yourself an advanced stitcher when it comes to "laying silk", please send me an email ASAP indicating you would prefer stitching for a book in which this challenging technique is not the paramount one.
