NEEDLEWORK ON THE INTERNET - join me in my exciting new adventure for the serious stitcher in which I will share my inspirations, designs, knowledge of needlework history and a wide range of needlework techniques.
WELCOME! As my 40-year needlework teaching career winds down, I am making available many of the classes I have taught around the country - in the form of either full kits or instruction booklets. These classes focus on my world of needlepoint and my particular passion for English needlework history. Look for both my old and my new needlework books, gradually a free dictionary of embroidery techniques and a cyberclass or two.
I will offer you many snippets of needlework history, using my slide and image collection of extant pieces of needlework from the late Middle Ages and the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. Visit websites that I feel are fun or good resources, and visit a gallery not only of some of my students' work but also the work of other contemporary needle artists.
As we share stories and photos that "tickle our fancy" or awesome photographs that "capture the moment", the development of this website will be an ongoing journey for me. I hope you will visit often, always finding something of special interest.
